Ervin S. Bontrager, 83, Goshen, died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at Harmony Senior Living, Elkhart.

He was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Goshen. His wife, Carol Dawn (Bossard) Bontrager, whom he married Feb. 14, 1983, preceded him in death in 2011.

He is survived by his sons, Pete, Pueblo, Colo., and Tom, Nashville, Tenn.; two grandsons; two sisters, Mary (Don) Rhoadarmer, Bradenton, Fla., and Carolyn (Leroy) Martin, Wakarusa; brother, Dennis (Betty) Bontrager, Scottsburg; brother-in-law, Murry (Doris) Byer, North Bay, Ontario; and many nieces and nephews.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, is handling arrangements.
