Michael Ron Long
WARSAW – An Ohio man was recently arrested on drug charges after officers investigated an incident at a Warsaw hotel.
Michael Ron Long, 28, Cincinnati, Ohio, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On Dec. 14, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Warsaw Police Department were asked to check on a man at a Warsaw hotel. A person reported Long was sitting in the hotel for the last four hours and didn’t have money to pay for a room.
According to court documents, the reporting person also said the man was acting “off.”
The man, later identified as Long, said he lived in Ohio and was dropped off in Warsaw to visit family, but they did not answer the door. He then told police his family gave him a vehicle but that it stopped working and he parked it at an apartment complex.
Law enforcement told Long he could go to Fellowship Missions and asked to search him and his belongings. During their search, officers found a glass pipe that tested positive for meth in Long’s pocket. Long said the pipe did not belong to him.
During the booking process at the Kosciusko County Jail, officers found meth in Long’s pocket and wallet.
Long was booked in the KCJ on Dec. 14.
