Stanley Weaver

Stanley Eugene Weaver, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.

He was born Dec. 7, 1937, in LaGrange.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh S. Weaver; his mother, Evelyn (Nettrouer) Stahly; wife, Joyce (Helton) Weaver; stepson, Craig Chrispyn; grandson, Justin Wayne Gamblin; and mother of his children, Maryann Weaver.

A laborer in the recreational vehicle industry, Stanley exemplified the values of dedication and resilience. Although he completed his education in the ninth grade, his wisdom and work ethic far surpassed formal schooling.

Stanley was a U.S. Army veteran, carrying with him the spirit of service throughout his life.

His is survived by his children: daughter Kim (Paul) Wert, Goshen; sons Gary (Cathy) Weaver, Claypool, and Greg (Carmen) Weaver, Millersburg; and daughter Melissa Gamblin, Goshen; stepchildren, Stephenie Chrispyn and Nicholas Chrispyn; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In honor of Stanley’s life, visitation will be held from noon until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Burial will follow in Yoder Cemetery in Shipshewana.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting consideration of a donation to Heart to Heart Hospice.
