Thor, 10 Other Hoosier Companies In ‘America’s Most Responsible’ Rankings

Elkhart-based Thor Industries was one of 11 Indiana companies listed in Newsweek’s yearly “America’s Most Responsible Companies” list.

INDIANAPOLIS — Newsweek has released its 2026 ranking of America’s Most Responsible Companies, with Elkhart-based Thor Industries and 10 other Indiana based firms earned spots on the national list that evaluates corporate performance across environmental, social and governance standards.
The annual ranking includes 600 companies selected from the 2,000 largest publicly traded corporations in the United States by revenue. Indiana’s representation declined by three companies compared with last year.
Indianapolis based Elevance Health ranked highest among Hoosier companies at No. 202. Kimball Electronics Inc. of Jasper placed No. 288, slipping from its No. 272 position in the previous ranking.
Other Indiana companies on the list were:
- 296: Thor Industries, Elkhart.
- 322: Elanco Animal Health, Indianapolis.
- 376: Simon Property Group, Indianapolis.
- 389: Hillenbrand, Batesville.
- 518: Wabash, Lafayette.
- 529: LCI Industries, Elkhart.
- 552: CNO Financial Group, Carmel.
- 557: Allison Transmission, Indianapolis.
- 587: Franklin Electric, Fort Wayne.
Hillenbrand improved significantly from its No. 484 ranking last year, continuing a trend of progress in the evaluation.
The top three companies nationally were NVIDIA of Santa Clara, Calif., Mastercard of Purchase, N.Y., and Palo Alto Networks of Calif.
The rankings aim to highlight companies demonstrating strong performance in social responsibility alongside financial success.
