Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, South SR 19, north of West SR 10, Etna Green. Driver: Denny L. Poe, 82, Redwood Road, Culver. Poe’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages up to $2,500.

• 7:51 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, South CR 775E, at East CR 500S, Pierceton. Driver: Veronica Applegate, 63, South CR 775E, Pierceton. Applegate’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages up to $5,000.

• 7:46 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, North SR 13, at North Grandview Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Charlotte Kompagne, 16, East Koher Road South, Syracuse. Kompagne’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages under $1,000.

• 10:29 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, South Beaver Dam Road, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Timothy P. Flora, 45, Hilltop Avenue, Warsaw. Flora’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages up to $2,500.

• 2:26 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, East CR 450N, at North CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: Heather Gills, 41, East Greenhaus Drive Apartment 16, Syracuse. Gills said she swerved her vehicle across the roadway to avoid hitting a deer, resulting in her vehicle hitting a utility pole. Gills sustained a facial injury and was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damages up to $10,000.
