NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR DISPOSABLE SOLID WASTE SERVICE BY THE TOWN OF MILFORD, INDIANA
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Milford, Indiana is now soliciting bids for Disposable Solid Waste Service for a five (5) year period beginning January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2030.
The services shall include the provision of a 96-gallon tote and the weekly pickup and disposal of all solid waste from Town facilities (including but not limited to the Community Building, Shop, Wastewater Treatment Plant (excluding solid waste disposal) and Town Park (seasonally) and from residential units within the Town (approximately 579-629 residential units), beginning the week of January 1, 2026, and subject to pick up adjustments as necessary by reason of force-majeure or traditional holidays.
Bids shall be submitted on an annual and monthly basis but with the understanding that the Town will be making its payments on the contract monthly.
All bids shall include a completed and executed “Contractors Bid for Public Work – State Form 96”, IRS Form W-9, E-Verify work eligibility affidavit, and Affidavit Concerning Investment Activities in Iran.
More detailed specifications describing the requirements are posted on our website (milford-indiana.org) and available in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Milford, at 121 S. Main, Milford, Indiana. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All submissions may be considered public documents under applicable laws and may be subject to disclosure after bid opening. Bidders recognize and agree that the Town of Milford will not be responsible or liable in any way for any losses that the Bidder may suffer from the lawful disclosure of information or materials to third parties. Any materials requested to be treated as confidential documents, proprietary information, or trade secrets must be clearly identified and readily separable from the balance of the bid. Such designations will not necessarily be conclusive, and Bidders may be required to justify why such material should not, upon written request, be disclosed by the Town under the applicable public records act.
Bids shall be submitted to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Milford, at 121 S. Main, Milford, Indiana, with a mailing address of P.O. Box 300, Milford, IN 46542, and must be received by December 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Disposable Solid Waste Bid”. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at a special meeting of the Milford Town Council on December 19, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Milford Community Building located at 111 S. Main, Milford, IN 46542.
The Milford Town Council reserves the right to award the bid as provided by statute, to take the bids under advisement, to waive any and all informalities in the bidding process or to reject any or all bids.
