NORTH WEBSTER – An Allen County man was recently arrested for allegedly engaging in inappropriate conduct with a child in North Webster.
Jordan Lee Windsor, 27, Hoagland, is charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, a level 5 felony.
On Sept. 1, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office received an initial report about a crime against a child, with the incident occurring at a location in North Webster.
The child was interviewed at Safe Harbor Children’s Advocacy Center on Sept. 18. According to court documents, the child said their friend invited them to a lake house on Webster Lake and that Windsor was present.
In their interview, the child said on Sept. 1, Windsor ended up falling asleep in the same bed as them and their friend. At one point, the child said they woke up and noticed Windsor was inappropriately touching them. Windsor stopped when he noticed the child was awake, and the friend kicked Windsor out of the room.
When the child grabbed their phone, they texted and called an individual to let them know what happened. They and their friend also told the friend’s grandmother, who told Windsor to leave the residence.
In an interview with police on Oct. 8, Windsor said he had been visiting a friend in North Webster during Labor Day weekend. He recalled being in a room with the child and their friend but allegedly said he did not remember touching the child. Windsor also told police he was intoxicated at the time.
Windsor was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 15.
