Police, Fire Department Respond To Vehicular Collision On South Huntington

SYRACUSE — Syracuse police and the Turkey Creek Fire Territory responded to a two vehicle crash around 11:05 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, just north of the intersection at South Huntington Street and Syracuse Drive.

A black Cadillac sedan and black Jeep Cherokee collided around 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, near the intersection of Syracuse Drive and South Huntington Street when the Cadillac rear-ended the Jeep, leaving minor damage to the rear of the Jeep and major damage to the front of the Cadillac.
The crash, right by the local Dollar General, involved a black Jeep Cherokee with minor rear damage and a totaled black Cadillac sedan with major damage to its front. According to Officer Joe Leach, the crash occurred when the Cadillac’s driver rear-ended the Jeep’s driver as she prepared to turn into the capillary road adjoining South Huntington’s east side. Both were driving south.
No injuries to the driver of the Cadillac or its passenger – an infant – were reported. The driver of the Jeep reported knee and rib pain at the scene.
Several Turkey Creek Fire Territory vehicles were present at the scene, including a pumper truck and a Turkey Creek paramedic vehicle. Three Syracuse police vehicles were also present, along with a Parkview EMS vehicle.
