Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

4:33 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, East CR 600S and North CR 100W, Claypool. Driver: Rebecca Harvey, 46, Hill Lake Road, Silver Lake. Harvey’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages estimated at $5,000.

6:56 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, US 30, at North CR 875N, Etna Green. Drivers: Trevor M. Davis, 33, CR 600S, Mentone; Steven M. Mann, 61, Division Road, La Porte; and Dane J. Kennedy, 34, Main Street, Warsaw. Davis was traveling westbound when a large wire spool and its carrier detached from Davis’s trailer. Mann was also traveling westbound, when he saw the spool after it had entered the roadway. Mann attempted to stop, but was unable to avoid the collision. Kennedy was attempting to pass another vehicle when the object appeared in his lane, and was unable to avoid the impact. Damages estimated at $10,000.

10:37 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 30, at North SR 19, Etna Green. Drivers: Jaroslaw G. Tymura, 51, Mill Street, New Britain, Conn.; and Esther R. Miller, 38, SR 19, Etna Green. Tymura was approaching SR 19, and did not see the red light because the sun was in his eyes. Miller was southbound on SR 19 and had a green light. Miller’s vehicle had crossed the median and was struck by Tymura’s vehicle. Two of the three passengers in Miller’s vehicle were transported to hospital by ambulance: Delbert Schwartz, 77, Etna Green, had a head injury, and Azariah Miller, 2, Etna Green, did not have any visible injuries, but was transported because of their age. Damages estimated at $50,000.

10:31 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, SR 14 and South CR 600W, Silver Lake. Driver: Blake M. Cooksey, 18, Main Street, Silver Lake. Cooksey was traveling on SR 14 when he hit a spot of black ice and began to lose control of his vehicle. Cooksey’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole. Damages estimated at $10,000.

9:26 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, SR 14, at South CR 600W, Silver Lake. Drivers: Sara J. Vanryn, 42, Town Lake Road, Akron; and Jose A. Martinez, 36, SR 13, North Manchester. Vanryn lost controll over her vehicle, crossed the center line, and entered the opposite lane, sideswiping Martinez’s vehicle. Martinez’s vehicle was pushed into a ditch. Damages estimated at $2,500.

9:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, South Packerton Road and East CR 1000S, Claypool. Driver: Hunter W. Dillon, 17, Glad Street, Warsaw. Dillon felt the back of his vehicle begin to fish-tail and was unable to correct it. Dillon’s vehicle slid off the roadway and struck the ditch, causing the vehicle to flip and then strike a utility pole. Dillon complained of neck pain but refused transport. Damages estimated at $50,000.

8:35 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, East CR 100N and Shagbark Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Lucas Esenwein, 19, EMS B6 Lane, Leesburg. Esenwein was attempting to make a turn onto North CR 225E at the same time a snowplow was traveling on CR 225E. As Esenwein moved over for the plow, he left the roadway and collided with a tree. Damages estimated at $5,000.

8:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 30 and North CR 800W, Atwood. Driver: Emilson Oliva, 23, Central Drive, Fort Wayne. Oliva’s vehicle slid on ice and lost control. Oliva’s vehicle left the roadway, and entered the shoulder of the highway, stiking a parked dump truck. Damages estimated at $10,000.

8:16 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, South Packerton Road and East SR 14, Claypool. Driver: Felanny M. Perez Cuevas, 35, Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Perez Cuevas’ vehicle hit a patch of ice and lost control. Perez Cuevas’ vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole. Damages estimated at $25,000.

8:07 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 30 and North CR 800W, Etna Green. Driver: David Heyn, 54, Garden Park Drive, Fort Wayne. Heyn was trying to stop due to a previous vehicle accident in the same lane but couldn’t because of the icy road conditions. Heyn’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete wall barrier. Heyne complained of neck pain and was transported to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damages estimated at $10,000.

8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 30 and North CR 800W, Etna Green. Driver: Kata R. Martin, 42, Cedar Road, Bourbon. Martin lost control of her vehicle after hitting a patch of ice. Martin’s vehicle left the roadway and went down an embankment, losing a rear wheel. Damages estimated at $10,000.

7:25 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, South SR 13 and South CR 650E, Pierceton. Driver: Aaron T. Eaton, 24, Market Street, North Manchester. Eaton’s vehicle began to slide along the roadway, causing him to lose control and slide into a ditch. Eaton’s vehicle overturned before returning upright. Eaton had complaints of back pain but refused transport after being seen by medics. Damages estimated at $25,000.

6:43 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, West CR 1350N and North CR 500W, Nappanee. Driver: Alexis N. Broda-Butler, 25, CR 29, Syracuse. Broda-Butler lost control of their vehicle and left the roadway, causing the vehicle to strike a utility pole and mailbox. Damages estimated at $10,000.

6:07 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, SR 15, at West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Isabel De La Rosa, 34, Old Road 30, Warsaw; and Kayla N. Lamb, 27, Caldwell Lake Drive, Claypool. De La Rosa tried to slow down but could not stop in time to avoid hitting Lamb’s vehicle. Lamb’s vehicle then went into a yard on SR 15 and struck a mailbox. Damages estimated at $10,000.

5:39 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, SR 19 and West Moore Road, Nappanee. Drivers: Orbin Maradiage Ruiz, 25, Hawthon Street, Bristol; and Timothy Schwartz, 19, CR 1100N, Nappanee. Ruiz’s vehicle hit a patch of ice, entered the opposite lanes, and hit Schwartz’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $25,000.

9:32 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, East Pierceton Road and South CR 400E, Pierceton. Driver: Krissa Crawford, 54, Western Drive, Winona Lake. Crawford’s vehicle hit a slick patch on the road, causing her vehicle to spin. She attempted to regain control, but could not, causing her vehicle to hit a tree and a utility pole. Damages estimated at $10,000.

7:27 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 9367 SR 15, Milford. Driver: Brina D. Baer, 22, CR 27, Bristol. Baer’s vehicle hit a patch of slush on the road, and slid off the roadway. Baer’s vehicle collided with a metal wire fence. Damages estimated at $5,000.

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, SR 15, Milford. Driver: Erik V. Tlahuel, 25, East CR 200, Warsaw. Tlahuel’s car went off an icy road into a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
- 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, CR 1350 and CR 500, Milford. Driver: Kevin D. Cool, 61, North Vernon Street, Nappanee. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, North Eastshore Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Caleb Beam, 24, East Williams Street, Milford. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 8:11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, East CR 500N and EMS T8 Lane, North Webster. Driver: James Hossler, EMS B6 Lane, Leesburg. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:41 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, US 30, west of CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: Anthony M. Smith, 25, Hobson Road, Fort Wayne. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:08 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, Ranch Road, north of Shaffer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Michael L. Fletcher, 56, West Business 30, Columbia City. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, parking lot at Meijer. Drivers: Delbert Linn, 89, Olive Street, Cromwell; and Carol Smedley, 79, Fairlane Drive, Warsaw. Linn backed his vehicle from a parking space and struck Smedley’s vehicle, which was traveling through the parking lot. Damage up to $5,000.
- 8:18 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, East Fort Wayne Street and North Harrison Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Whitt A. Huffer, 41, North Colfax Street, Warsaw; and Lauren D. Gault, 35, Pike Shore Drive, Warsaw. Huffer slowed for the intersection, but disregarded the stop sign and struck Gault’s vehicle as he went through the intersection. Gault complained of pain on her right side but refused medical attention. Damage up to $25,000.
- 11:38 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, Anchorage Road and Anchorage Point Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Todd Anderson, 51, CR 200E, Leesburg; and Tyler D. Galbraith, 26, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Anderson’s vehicle struck the back of Galbraith’s vehicle, a school bus, after it had to be stopped abruptly. There were no students on the bus. Damage up to $10,000.
- 9:44 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 30 and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Akshay F. Kumar, 24, West Dakota, Fresno, Calif.; and Amanda Schotter, 41, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Kumar was unable to slow down his semitractor/trailer for the red light, causing his vehicle to hit Schotter’s vehicle as she was turning from Meijer Drive onto US 30. Schotter complained of pain to her entire body. She was transported to an area hospital. Damage up to $50,000.
- 9:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 30, west of South Circle Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kayla M. Torres, 33, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Torres’ vehicle began to slide as she was turning, causing her vehicle to hit a NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $5,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
- 8:46 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, North US 31 and East CR 600N, Rochester. Driver: Joseph Moses, 38, Union. Moses’ vehicle hit a deer.
- 7:01 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, North US 31 and East SR 14, Rochester. Driver: Jerron Robinson, 45, Mishawaka. Robinson’s vehicle hit a deer.
- 10:26 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, North SR 25 and East CR 375N, Rochester. Driver: Ryan Breidinger, 49, Rochester. Breidinger’s vehicle hit a deer.
- 8:28 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, US 31 and South SR 25, Rochester. Officers received a call from an automated caller about an accident.
- 2:36 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, North US 31 and East CR 450N, Rochester. An unknown person advised that he slid off the roadway into the median.
- 9:09 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, West SR 14 and South CR 600W, Rochester. No driver information listed. Two vehicles were in an accident.
- 8:34 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, South US 31 and Wabash Avenue, Rochester. Officers responded to a vehicle that slid off the roadway.
- 8:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 1448 W. SR 14, Rochester. Driver: William Helt, 32, Rochester. Helt advised he hit black ice, causing his car to roll over.
- 8:03 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, South US 31, and Wabash Avenue, Rochester. Officers responded to a call of a truck and trailer in a ditch.
