NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Town Council signed an agreement for town park improvements at its brief meeting Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Allie Daugherty with HWC Engineering in Indianapolis provided the agreement for the board to sign. The contract is for engineering services for town park upgrades at North Webster Town Park. The town is getting a grant to pay for the project.
“This is an agreement to provide services for the town park’s improvement,” said Daugherty.
The town will then get a concept from HWC based on data, community input and different sources, she said.
There will be community engagement for the public to take part in the park’s concept. These will include community meetings in the future. No dates have been set yet.
Police Chief Greg Church gave the police department’s report. There were 735.75 officer hours in October. There were 4,005 miles driven and 337 gallons of fuel used. There were 264 calls of service. Of those, 14 were battery, fight or domestic calls, two criminal mischief calls, five theft or fraud calls, one drug related, 38 traffic related calls, 13 accidents, 34 citizen lockouts and 21 calls for agency assistance for fire or EMS.
The next monthly council meeting is at 6 p.m. Dec. 16.
