Fort Wayne District Indiana State Trooper Marks 40 Years

FORT WAYNE – Master Trooper Don Stoffel has served the people of Indiana as a state trooper for 40 years.
Stoffel began his career with the Indiana State Police in December of 1985. Out of the Indiana State Police Academy, he was assigned the Fort Wayne Post and assigned patrol duties in Adams County. After two years he was assigned to patrol Huntington and Whitley counties, where he continues to work.
During his long career with the Indiana State Police, he has served as an emergency vehicle operations course instructor, a high-performance vehicle operator (driving a Camero) for 13 years, and a diver with the scuba team for 28 years.
“I cannot thank Master Trooper Don Stoffel enough for his dedicated work ethic and his continued effort to make a difference on Indiana roadways and in his community for 40 years,” said district Lt. Corey Culler.
Stoffel continues his patrol duties in Huntington and Whitley counties. He is a lifelong resident of Huntington County, where he is a proud parent of two, Bellah and Ashton.
