Warsaw Man Arrested After Officers Discover Drugs During Home Visit

WARSAW – A Warsaw man was recently arrested after officers discovered drugs during a home visit.
David Lee Hyde, 59, 665 W. Jefferson St., Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession or use of a legend drug, both level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony; and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction, both class A misdemeanors.
On Oct. 27, a Warsaw detective went with a parole officer to conduct a home visit on Hyde.
Upon searching Hyde’s residence, officers found drug paraphernalia; synthetic marijuana; methamphetamine; a white substance labeled as nitroglycerine, a prescription-only medication; and a prescription pill bottle for Trazodone not prescribed to Hyde.
Hyde has prior convictions for methamphetamine possession, paraphernalia possession, and dealing methamphetamine, all in Kosciusko County.
Hyde was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 27. He has an initial hearing at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
