Syracuse Town Council Approves CCMG Financial Commitment Letter

SYRACUSE — In an extremely brief special meeting held Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, the Syracuse Town Council approved signing a financial commitment letter for a Community Crossings Matching Grant Fund.
The letter states the town commits local matching funds equal to 20% of the estimated project cost. The total estimated cost of the project in the application is $730,610 with the town’s share to be $146,122.
The funds will be spent on planned paving projects in 2026.
Council members, Bill Musser, Cindy Kaiser, Nate Scherer and Paul Stoelting, voted in favor of Scherer signing the letter as council president. Councilman Larry Siegel was not in attendance.
