Warsaw Man Arrested For Alleged Strangulation Incident In Plymouth
Staff Report
PLYMOUTH – A Warsaw man is charged with allegedly strangling a person in Plymouth.

Cory Michael Thomas
Cory Michael Thomas, 48, 3070 S. Packerton Road, Warsaw, is charged with resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and strangulation, both level 6 felonies.
On Oct. 15, officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office contacted Marshall County dispatch, advising there was an elderly victim with obvious injuries at the hospital ER.
The victim stated they had been battered by Thomas, and that he was at his girlfriend’s house in Plymouth. They told the officer that there were possible injuries on their face, internal injuries inside their abdomen, and injuries to their hands. The victim stated that Thomas had placed his arm across their neck and applied pressure, causing them to have a difficult time breathing. Officers later learned that Thomas had an outstanding felony arrest warrant through Kosciusko County for strangulation.
Officers arrived at the girlfriend’s home, and while knocking on the door, officers witnessed a man laying on a bed, refusing to answer a door directly next to the room. Officers gave verbal commands through an exterior side door next to the room and eventually saw Thomas inside the residence. After more verbal commands for Thomas to exit the residence were ignored, officers forced entry into the home, and arrested Thomas.
Thomas is currently awaiting trial. He also has two warrants, including one felony warrant in Kosciusko County for strangulation, and one misdemeanor warrant in Whitley County for invasion of privacy and nudity.
