Farber, Stollery, Doll Win Soup Supper-Cookoff

MILFORD — Milford Kiwanis members and volunteers were serving up some delicious soup on Saturday, Oct. 18 for the eighth annual Soup Supper Cook-Off. A total of 21 soups were donated by members, businesses and civic groups.
The choices included chili (regular and white chicken), potato, vegetable, chicken noodle, jalapeno popper, French onion, sausage and sauerkraut, chicken and rice, taco, ham and bean, to name a few. Funds raised through donations will help fund the Milford Kiwanis Teachers’ Toolbox project and the Reach Out Indiana Riley and Indiana Kiwanis project for accessible mental health services for kids and teens.Â
The winner in the business category was Bobi Doll of Bobi’s Shear Success with her wild rice soup. Civic group winner was Janna Stollery, representing the Van Buren Township Food Pantry, serving up chunky potato; and Emma Farber in the individual category with her cheesy potato soup. Grand champion soup of the night was Emma Farber and her cheesy potato soup. Farber received an apron, printed by T-Zone.
