Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 11:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, SR 19, intersection of West Welch Drive, Etna Green. Driver: Reece Arthur, 21, North Fourth Street, Monticello. Arthur’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage estimated up to: $2,500.

• 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, West CR 300N, intersection of North CR 150W, Warsaw. Drivers: Eric Swick, 24, North Turkey Creek Road, Syracuse; and Santhosh Guntakandla, 31, Greenbrier Boulevard, Warsaw. Swick’s vehicle struck Guntakandla’s vehicle while going into the turn lane. Damages estimated up to $10,000.

• 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, East Old Road 30, intersection of SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Vicky L. Finkenbiner, 72, EMS W30 Lane, North Webster; and Elijah C. Mercer, 17, Hickory Creek Drive, Fort Wayne. Finkenbiner’s vehicle collided with Mercer’s vehicle while making a turn. Finkenbiner complained of pain in both arms and was transported to Lutheran Hospital by Lutheran Medic’s. Mercer complained of pain in his shoulder and rib cage and said that he would seek medical treatment independently. Damage estimated up to $25,000.

• 8:07 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, West CR 600N, intersection North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Drivers: Rory A. Young, 33, South Elkhart Street, Wakarusa; and Richard L. Byers, 61, West CR 250N, Royal Center. Young’s vehicle and Byer’s vehicle were in a line of dump trucks being loaded. Byer’s vehicle’s brakes didn’t pop and his vehicle ran into Young’s vehicle. Damage estimated under $1,001.

• 9:01 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, West CR 900N, intersection of SR 15, Milford. Drivers: Nery J. Ramirez Perez, 18, South James Street, Milford; and Mack L. Hochstetler, 18, Kensington Drive, Goshen. Ramirez Perez’s vehicle hit Hochstetler’s vehicle while Hochstetler was attempting to turn. Damage estimated up to $50,000.

• 2:26 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, West CR 600N, intersection of SR 19, Etna Green. Driver: Randall Emerick, 21, Plymouth LaPorte Trail, Walkerton. Emerick’s vehicle reversed into a stop sign. Damage estimated under $1,001.

• 7:48 a.m. Wednesday, October. 15, East Old Road 30, west of South CR 600E, Pierceton. Driver: Paul E. Vanosdol, 57, Woodlawn Drive, Warsaw. Vanosdol’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage estimated up to $50,000.

• 12:46 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, North Old SR 15, intersection of West CR 600N, Leesburg. Drivers: Mason R. Perry, 25, Turkey Creek Drive, Milford; and Emma L. Wakeman, 18, Southeast CR 00 West, Fairmount. Perry went around a vehicle that was turning right and struck Wakeman’s vehicle while she was driving through the intersection. Perry complained of right ankle pain but refused medical treatment. Damage estimated up to $25,000.

• 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, North Syracuse-Webster Road, west of CR North 700E, Syracuse. Driver: Amanda Bickel, 30, West Longfellow Road, Columbia City. Bickel’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage estimated up to $5,000.

Fulton County

• 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, South CR 1475E, intersection of East CR 300S, Akron. Driver: Kerry Coble, 63, North Manchester. Coble’s vehicle hit a deer.

• 6:06 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, North US 31, intersection of East Olson Road, Rochester. Drivers: Tommy Turpin, 47, Shelbyville; and Amy Tolley, 52, Rochester. Turpin’s vehicle and Tolley’s vehicle were in an accident. Turpin complained of leg and hand pain and was evaluated by medics on the scene.
