Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, SR 19, at West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Driver: Colton E. Miller, 24, Cherry Street, Argos. Miller lost control of his vehicle’s steering and hit the guardrail. Damages estimated up to $10,000.
- 7:16 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, East CR 900S, west of South County Farm Road, Claypool. Driver: Paul R. Jayne, 60, EMS B21 Lane, Pierceton. Jayne’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages estimated up to $5,000.
- 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, East CR 900N, west of North CR 200E, Milford. Driver: Mark L. Yoder, 65, East CR 1200N, Syracuse. Yoder’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages estimated up to $2,500.
- 7:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, East CR 600S, at South County Farm Road, Claypool. Driver: Weston B. Hamby, 23, East CR 500S, Warsaw. Hamby’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages estimated up to $5,000.
- 5:47 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, North CR 800W, Etna Green. Driver: John Chupp, 35, Michigan Road, Argos. Chupp’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages estimated up to $5,000.
- 7:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, North CR 650E, at East McKenna Road, Warsaw. Driver: Makala Richardson, 22, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Richardson’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages estimated up to $2,500.

Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 2:57 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, SR 13 and East CR 800N, North Webster. Driver: Franklin N. Dausman, no age provided, East Pierceton Road, Pierceton. Hit deer.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, West Railroad Avenue, Syracuse. Driver: Mario Reyes, 20, Green Street, Ligonier. Reyes’ vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle while backing out of a parking space. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, North Long Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Christine Johnson, 64, North Harrison Street, Syracuse. Johnson’s vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle while backing out of a parking space. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:18 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, West CR 300N, at Escalade Way, Warsaw. Drivers: Melissa Vassianna, 34, East Lake View Road, Syracuse; and Sai Mysore Mouliswar, 28, Briar Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Vassianna was proceeding across the intersection when Mouliswar’s vehicle collided with Vassianna’s. Damages estimated at $25,000.
- 3:46 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1200 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Brianna Cole Sumpter, 24, Miami Drive, Warsaw. Sumpter was pulling into a parking stop when her vehicle struck the rear of an unattended vehicle in the parking lot. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 2:37 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, North Buffalo Street, at West Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie Wampler, 50, Meridian Avenue, Monroe; and Harmony Rohrer, 16, CR 450S, Warsaw. Wampler proceeded through the intersection when Wampler’s vehicle struck Rohrer’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 9:56 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, West Crystal Lake Road, at South Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Brandon Knutson, 27, CR 225S, Warsaw. Knutson had lost control of his vehicle due to a traction control issue and ran off the roadway, striking a utility pole. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 2:29 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, US 30 and East CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Eric Tlaxcalteca, 21, West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw; and Deanna Richards, 65, North Timberline Circle East, Warsaw. Richards was turning into the right lane, and Tlaxcalteca, who was traveling at a high rate of speed, struck Richards’ vehicle. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 9:42 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, East Center Street, at North Hickory Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Aron Aleman Moreno, 24, Jackson Street, Indianapolis; and Maria Alvarado, 54, CR 550E, Leesburg. Aleman Moreno’s vehicle rear-ended Alvarado’s vehicle at a red light. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Drivers: Jacqueline Runyan, 62, Logan Street, Warsaw; and Megan Hamilton, 32, Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Runyan was beginning to leave her parking spot when her car collided with Hamilton’s, which was also leaving a parking spot. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, Commerce Drive, at Access Road, Warsaw. Drivers: unknown; and Bruce Wilson, 73, Shady Lane, Warsaw. Wilson proceeded through the intersection when a dark blue Chrysler mini van disregarded the stop sign, colliding with Wilson’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 4:47 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, US 30 and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kyajsia Lewis, 23, Nova Street, Lima, Ohio; and Tammy Campbell, 53, McCormick Drive, Nappanee. Lewis’s vehicle rear-ended Campbell’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 11:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, US 30, at East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Alysa Kohler, 30, CR 400W, Claypool; and Brent Cline, 65, Arcanium Ithaca Road, Arcanium, Ohio. Kohler’s vehicle rear-ended Cline’s. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 7:53 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, SR 15 and Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Taylee Zorn, 17, CR 175E, Warsaw; Laura Figueroa, 49, Graydon Street, Indianapolis; Jefferey Powell, 60, Hemlock Lane, Warsaw; and Rita Powell, 60, Hemlock Lane, Warsaw. Zorn was driving northbound on SR 15 behind Figueroa’s vehicle, and tried to dodge Figueroa’s vehicle when traffic came to a sudden stop. Zorn tried to dodge Figueroa’s vehicle, but collided with it. Figueroa was behind Jeffrey’s vehicle when Zorn’s vehicle collided with Figueroa’s, making Figueroa’s collide with Jeffrey’s, who collided with Rita’s. Zorn was taken by EMS to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for further examination. Figueroa, who had pain in both knees, left shoulder, left hand, and at the base of her neck, was transported by EMS to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damages estimated at $50,000.
- 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, US 30, at Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Grant Forks, 20, Evergreen Drive, Warsaw; and Prasenjit Saha, 40, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw. Forks’s vehicle rear-ended Saha’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 423 Kincaide St., Warsaw. Drivers: Alyssa Owens, 20, East Pine Drive, Warsaw; and Christopher Cochran, 34, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Owens was backing out of a parking spot and backed into Cochran’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 3:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, East Winona Avenue, at South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kira Hileman, 33, South County Farm Road, Warsaw; Shayla Bridgewater, 30, CR 125N, Etna Green; and David Hays, 39, South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Hileman was crossing through the intersection and collided with Bridgewater’s vehicle, which had the right-of-way. Hileman’s vehicle was then pushed into the front of Hays’ vehicle. Damages estimated at $25,000.
- 3:19 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, Center Street, at Sherman Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather Drabenstott, 24, Hastings Street, South Bend; and Brianne Stewart, 24, East Defreese Road, Syracuse. Drabenstott’s vehicle rear-ended Stewart’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $25,000.
- 1:04 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, Parker Street and South Dubois Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Pamela Allbritten, 29, Wooster Road, Winona Lake; Joseph Hawn, 59, Park Avenue, Winona Lake; and Caleb Deuel, 18, Brookview Avenue, Warsaw. Allbritten’s vehicle rear-ended Hawn’s, causing Hawn’s vehicle to rear-end Deuel’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $50,000.
- 11:59 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 3000 N. Airport Road, Warsaw. Driver: William Nichols, 65, CR 800S, Claypool. Nichols’ vehicle backed into a NIPSCO utilities box. Nichols was having a medical emergency and was transported to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 9:01 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, East Clark Street, at North Grant Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brianna Fernandez, 32, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw; and Joaquin Malagon Jr., 31, East Main Street, Warsaw. Malagon was proceeding through the intersection when Fernandez’s vehicle collided with his. Damages estimated at $25,000.
- 12:21 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 1 Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Lucia Macias, 19, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Macias was doing donuts in the parking lot of Warsaw Community School, when she went over a curb, through a yard, and struck a sign near the exit of the school. Upon trying to leave, Macias’ vehicle went off the road into a tree, which deployed the airbags. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: JR Kuhn, 67, South Lake Shore Drive West, Warsaw; and Gvonte Green, 22, Maye Street, Warsaw. Kuhn was turning left when he pulled out in front of Green’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $10,000.
- 10:26 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, SR 15, at East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Keith Carty, 67, Shortridge Drive, Warsaw; and Inger Fussle, 71, Eastwood Road, Winona Lake. Carty’s vehicle entered the intersection when Fussle, who was traveling on East Winona Avenue, had the right-of-way, causing Fussle’s vehicle to collide with Carty’s. Carty complained of chest pain, and was extricated from his car, and treated by Lutheran M5. Carty was transported for additional medical evaluation. Damages estimated at $50,000.
- 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1500 Provident Drive, Warsaw. A vehicle was struck by an unknown driver. Damages estimated at $5,000.
- 12:38 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, East Winona Avenue, at South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeffrey Coons, 54, CR 600W-57, Columba City; and Barbara Johnson, 62, East Armstrong Road, Leesburg. Coons tried to pull over as he noticed a tire was beginning to wobble, but the tire detached and struck Johnson’s vehicle. Damages estimated at $10,000.
