Syracuse Woman Arrested On Drug Charges After Officers Respond To Fatal Overdose

NORTH WEBSTER — A Syracuse woman was arrested on drug charges after law enforcement responded to a fatal drug overdose.
Stephany L. Satoski, 44, 318 Edgewater Ave., Syracuse, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, both level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On May 20, a Nappanee Police officer received a report about a man and woman selling meth and mushrooms at a location in the North Webster area. The following day, law enforcement was called to the area, as the man was believed to have passed away from a drug overdose.
According to court documents, officers spoke with Satoski, who said she moved into a residence on May 18. She said the man asked her for a place to stay and allowed him to do so. When Satoski returned to the residence, she found the man unresponsive and called 911.
In Satoski’s room, officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia that tested positive for meth.
Satoski has already been arrested and released on bond.
