GOSHEN — It’s October and time for a spooky outdoor adventure after dark.

The Elkhart County Parks Department invites the community to join a naturalist Friday, Oct. 17, for the Benton Night Hike.

The family-fun night hike is intended for all ages, and those who are joining in can meet at 6 p.m. at the Benton Dam in River Preserve County Park, located one mile south of US 33 on CR 31 in Goshen.

Prepare for some shivers as you watch your friend’s head disappear right before your yes, see a disappearing ghost trick and view other optical illusions, according to a news release.
