New South Bend Child Safety Center Serves Kosciusko, Other Counties

SOUTH BEND — Geminus, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services, will celebrate a grand opening and ribbon-cutting for the new Community Partners for Child Safety center at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.
The facility, located at 3517 E. Jefferson Blvd. in South Bend, aims to provide families with a wide range of comprehensive services and resources.
The event is open to the community. Following the ceremony, attendees can tour the center, meet staff and learn about resources available to families in St. Joseph, Elkhart, Kosciusko and Marshall counties.
“Community Partners for Child Safety provides families with the tools to maintain healthy relationships and thrive,” said Nicholas Neal, vice president of community services at Geminus. “We are proud to expand essential resources across north-central Indiana and support the well-being of every child.”
Community Partners for Child Safety assists families experiencing child behavioral challenges, job or financial difficulties, domestic violence, substance use issues and housing challenges. Resources include homemaking support, crisis intervention, mentoring, parenting education, budgeting guidance and financial assistance.
Geminus helps thousands of Hoosier families through early childhood services, family support and prevention initiatives. The organization delivers care by working with local partners and health providers.
