WARSAW — A ribbon-cutting was held on Wednesday, Oct. 8, to celebrate the opening of Parkview ONE Surgery Center in Warsaw.
This surgery center, nearly 15,000 square feet, is a new orthopedic ambulatory surgery center located at 335 E. 200N, Warsaw. The facility, while small, will focus on outpatient orthopedic surgeries and getting the latest in joint replacements and fracture treatments, among many others.
Dr. Alan McGee, president of Parkview Health Orthopedics, opened the ceremony by welcoming everyone in attendance. McGee stated that Parkview’s partnership with Orthopedic Northeast represents what the future of ambulatory orthopedic surgery will be.
“We recognize that medical care in general tends to be local … It’s a shared vision that Parkview Health and Ortho Northeast improve access to orthopedic care closer to home,” said McGee.
McGee emphasized that the center “… will be patient-centered, efficient, advanced, and it will certainly be innovative. We will have the latest and greatest technologies that we will utilize from a pre-operative standpoint, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.”
“Our goal is to not only meet the needs today, but to ensure that Warsaw remains a destination for world class orthopedic care for decades to come,” McGee stated.
State Rep. Craig Snow was also in attendance and wanted to emphasize how the partnership between Parkview Health and ONE, along with the new facilities that they are bringing to the community, is one they should be proud of.
“With a broad range of outpatient orthopedic surgeries … Parkview Health and Ortho Northeast continue to bring exceptional care to Hoosiers,” said Snow. “I am thankful for their investment in and commitment to Warsaw, and I wish them continued success in the future.”
Dr. Chris Johnson, the co-director of ONE, remarked on how this was a “truly exciting day” for all involved, and he believes that Parkview and ONE have one the most dynamic leadership teams in the state for orthopedics and healthcare. ONE has been providing care to Warsaw for over 25 years, but now, Parkview ONE Surgery is going to be able to bring their sub-specialized model to the forefront of Warsaw healthcare.
Johnson stated that, “Warsaw being the orthopedic capital of the world deserves the best orthopedic care in the world … So now with the partnership … we are going to bring our sub-specialized surgeons here focusing on outpatient joint replacements.”
The focus on using the newest technology, partnering with industry, and focusing on the future of orthopedic care, Johnson and the team at ONE “are excited to bring this care to Warsaw.”

Dr. Chris Johnson, vice-president of ONE, gives a speech on how this is a great cause for Warsaw at large.
Chaplain Mark Fishburn gave a sermon to bless the facilities.
Inside the facility, there are 12 pre/post-operative bays, and there will be a discharge canopy for the patients to be picked up by their families. There are also sterile rooms for retrieving cleaned equipment, and a washroom for equipment that was used. Inside the operating rooms there are several monitors which will help doctors do their jobs more efficiently. The efficient facility will help to bolster the orthopedic industry in Kosciusko County.
The facility will officially open Oct. 27, with the first surgery also being scheduled that day.
