BRISTOL — Elkhart Civic Theatre’s youth production of “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” will be on stage Oct. 10, 11 and 12 at Elkhart Civic Theatre’s Bristol Opera House. The show is directed by Kala Key assisted by Andrew Galang.

Ania Kingsley, left, and Wendy Spatt are shown in a scene from the show.
Two battling narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology using audience participation. Famous myths such as Pandora’s box, Jason and the Argonauts (the original Super Friends) and Hercules: Intern God jostle for space with obscure, weird myths such as the myth of Linus and the legend of the Argus. It culminates in a bizarre, musical dance-influenced version of “The Iliad” complete with a full-scale battle of little green army men.

Sullivan Plack portrays a part in “Olympiaganza.”
“Our youth productions receive as much attention as our mainstage shows, in terms of production values, personal attention to each young actors’ talents and abilities, and of course, to making the experience of being onstage fun,” said Dave Dufour, executive director of Elkhart Civic Theatre. “‘Greek Mythology Olympiaganza’ gives our kids a chance to play multiple characters and even learn a little bit about their history at the same time.”
“Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” is presented as part of ECT’s Michael Cripe Studio and is underwritten by Jeff Cripe and Label Logic Inc.
