Warsaw Man Arrested On Drug Charges

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of drugs.
David Timothy Gunter, 40, 507 N. Park Ave., Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; possession of methamphetamine with a prior dealing conviction, a level 5 felony; and possession of marijuana with a prior drug conviction and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction, both class A misdemeanors.
On April 27, a Warsaw Police officer saw a vehicle turn without using a proper signal and pulled the driver over. The driver, identified as Gunter, admitted to not using his turn signal.
According to court documents, while speaking with Gunter, the officer noticed a marijuana smoking pipe on the front passenger’s seat.
Upon searching the vehicle, police found a bag containing less than five grams of meth and a hand-rolled cigarette identified as marijuana.
Gunter was previously convicted of dealing meth in 2010 in Kosciusko County.
Gunter was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 27.
