On Sept. 5, Kosciusko County dispatch advised that a car crashed into a pond near Ulrich Drive and Turkey Creek Drive in Milford. Milford officers and a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on scene, noting a partially submerged Nissan Juke in a pond.
Officers learned the driver walked away from the scene and was later located and identified as Greer, who was staggering in the roadway and indicated he was not injured. Officers detected the smell of alcohol on Greer, and Greer had slurred speech, unsteady balance, and wet pant legs up to his knees.
Officers spoke with Greer, who admitted to consuming a lot of alcohol. When officers read Greer the Indiana Implied Consent, Greer refused to take a certified chemical test and was handcuffed. Greer was escorted to the police vehicle where he collapsed and was unable to walk.
He was transported to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, where officers obtained a search warrant. Greer’s certified chemical test results are still pending. At the Kosciusko County Jail, Greer tested .136% BrAC on a portable breath test.
Greer has a prior conviction of operating while intoxicated from September 2021.
Greer has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance.
