SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man was arrested for allegedly resisting arrest.

Wesley David Sanford
Wesley David Sanford, 28, 13937 CR 48, Syracuse, is charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication, both class B misdemeanors; and resisting law enforcement causing bodily injury, a level 6 felony.
On Sept. 14, Syracuse officers went to assist in locating a man who walked away from a bar in Syracuse. When officers arrived, they spoke with the wife of the missing man. She stated that she wanted to take her husband and Sanford home. After being found, the husband got into the car, where he and Sanford started fighting. The officer spoke with the men, who both agreed to stop. The wife started down the road and then had to pull over because Sanford allegedly started punching the husband.
Officers grabbed Sanford, pulled him to the ground, and Sanford started rolling away. Sanford had pulled the officer to the ground, and they rolled multiple times into the middle of the road, until the husband grabbed Sanford’s arm, telling him to stop.
Sanford was handcuffed, and tested .201% BrAC on a portable breath test.
Sanford has already been released from the Kosciusko County Jail.
