NORTH WEBSTER — The 14th annual Heart of the Community Auction and Dinner will be Saturday, Oct. 4, at the North Webster Community Center. The doors open at 5 p.m.
The NWCC will host the annual community event for an evening of dinner, drinks, a live auction and a silent auction.
This is the center’s largest fundraiser of the year, said Emily Shipley, NWCC executive director.
This year’s event features over 100 silent auction items. Those items can be previewed on the NWCC website. Guests may use their phones to bid on silent and live auction items, both before and during the auction up until 7:30 p.m.
A live auction will also take place. These can also be previewed on the NWCC website. Items up for bid include: Colts, Purdue, Chicago Cubs and IU tickets; an all-inclusive Mexico trip; a Big Horn side-by-side UTV; a Gladiator golf cart; and a new Rockwood RV.
Also, 10, $500 envelopes will be given away, plus gas for a year and groceries for a year.
It takes 86 volunteers to make the auction a successful event and volunteers get a free meal. Sign up online to volunteer.
Dinner is being catered by Sleepy Owl. Musical guest is Marc Vosler.
