ATWOOD — Aldersgate United Methodist Church is inviting the community to join in its free Block Party and Indoor Movie Night on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a bounce house and other activities for kids.

Before the movie starts, there will be music to enjoy as well as hot dogs, popcorn, cookies and lemonade.

Disney’s “Zootopia” will be shown inside the church. The animated movie is a comedy-adventure set in the “modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia, where Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny on Zootopia’s police force, jumps at the chance to crack her first case.”

The next day, Sunday, Oct. 5, Pastor Mike Beezley will kick off a new sermon series titled “Faith’s Greatest Mysteries” with a look at the ark of the covenant. The worship service starts at 10:30 a.m.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church is located at 105 E. Hovey St., Atwood.
