Apple Festival Parade Takes Over Nappanee

NAPPANEE — The Nappanee Apple Festival completed its 49th year this weekend and featured its annual parade Saturday, Sept. 20. The parade traveled west on U.S. 6 and was launched with a flyover from the Hooligan Flight Team.
Marching bands from NorthWood High School and Argos High School both performed. The parade also featured appearances from the contestants for the Apple Festival Queen. Neila Rumfel greeted spectators as the 2025 Apple Blossom Queen.
The parade began at 10:30 a.m. and was one of several key events on the day at the Apple Festival. Other events included the Apple Festival Donut Dash 5K Run, pickleball tournament, cornhole tournament, car show, apple pie eating contest and live entertainment.
