Daniel Richard Holmes, 60, Bremen, passed away at dawn on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, after a brief but brave battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS. He entered Heaven fully restored and into the embrace of those who went before him.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1965, in South Bend.

Daniel is survived by his mother: Janice, Bremen; a daughter: Jessica Kristine Holmes, Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters: Jennifer Holmes and Jill (Ted) Snyder, both of Bremen; two nieces; a nephew; two great-nephews; and a great-niece.

Those who preceded him in death include his father: David Richard Holmes in 2022; his uncle: Robert E. Lant in 2015; a sister: Kara Anne Holmes in 1965; as well as longtime companion Beverly Little in April 2025.
