LARWILL — The following Whitko Community School students have been named students of the month for September.

William Egolf

Whitko Junior Senior High School’s student of the month is William Egolf. The eighth-grader was nominated by junior high Principal JD Maurer, who noted William’s respect for peers, respect for teachers, grades, attendance and citizenship.

Julia Elder

The Whitko Career Academy student of the month is Julia Elder. She was nominated by medical health sciences teacher Amy Nicodemus, who said: “Julia is off to an incredible start this school year. She arrives to class each day with a positive attitude, ready and eager to deepen her knowledge of all things health care. Her enthusiasm, attentiveness and drive to learn are truly contagious and uplifting to everyone around her. She has shown great dedication to mastering medical terminology, and her hard work has not gone unnoticed. Julia recently scored a perfect 100% on her first quiz — a clear reflection of her commitment and focus. Beyond her academic success, she’s also been a supportive team player, taking initiative to help her classmates navigate the challenges of enrolling in their dual credit courses. Julia is clearly serious about pursuing a career in health care, and her outstanding efforts show she’s on a path toward a very bright future. Keep up the amazing work, Julia — you’re doing an exceptional job.”

Thaddeus Neal

South Whitley Elementary School’s student of the month is Thaddeus Neal. He was nominated by fifth-grade teacher Abigail Stewart, who said: “Thaddeus is a caring and hardworking student. He is always determined to do his best in all things, even when it gets tough. He treats students and adults with respect and kindness. Thaddeus is always willing to help everyone around him. He is a joy to have in my class, and I am excited to watch him grow throughout the year.”

Oliver Bingley

The Pierceton Elementary School student of the month is Oliver Bingley. He was nominated by third-grade teacher Trenton Osborn, who said: “I am nominating Oliver for student of the month because he consistently shows kindness, responsibility and a strong dedication to learning. He comes to school each day ready to do his best and he encourages everyone around him to do the same. Oliver is respectful to his teachers and classmates, and he goes out of his way to help others without being asked. He shows perseverance when faced with challenges, always working hard until he understands the lesson. Beyond academics, Oliver is a leader in our classroom community. He models positive behavior, treats everyone with fairness and creates a welcoming environment for his peers. I am proud to recognize Oliver for the positive impact he has on our class. Oliver truly exemplifies what it means to be a Pierceton Cub and a Whitko Wildcat.”
