Red Cross blood drive coming to Milford
News Release
MILFORD — The Milford Collective, in partnership with the American Red Cross, is hosting a community blood drive from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Milford Community Building, 111 S. Main St. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed to help ensure hospitals can meet patient needs.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Donating just one pint can save up to three lives. The Red Cross and The Milford Collective are calling on community members to roll up their sleeves and give the gift of life during this important event.
How To Register
Visit RedCrossBlood.org or call (800) RED CROSS (800-733-2767) to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
Donors are asked to bring a photo ID or their Red Cross donor card. Healthy individuals who are at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent in some states) and weigh at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate.
“Blood donations are a vital lifeline for patients battling cancer, accident victims and those undergoing surgeries,” said a local Red Cross representative/organizer. “We encourage everyone who is able to join us and make a difference in the lives of others.”
