Man Airlifted After Drowning Incident At Warsaw’s Center Lake

WARSAW — A 37-year-old man is in stable condition after a drowning incident at Center Lake in Warsaw.
At 5:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, emergency personnel were dispatched to Central Park for a missing person. The situation rapidly evolved to a potential drowning.
Within two minutes of entering the lake, a Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory rescue diver located the man, who was resuscitated and stabilized. According to a statement from Warsaw Police Department, the man was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital thereafter.
