AWL Seeking Volunteers For Walking Dogs During Construction At Shelter’s Outdoor Runs
Press Release
PIERCETON — The Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County is seeking volunteers to assist with walking dogs over the next two weeks.
In a Facebook post, the AWL stated the shelter’s outside runs are getting concreted, which will help keep dogs safe from digging into other runs, naturally help maintain their toenails, and make cleaning easier.
“During construction, the dogs aren’t getting their normal outside time, so walks with volunteers are extra important right now,” read the post. “They’re counting on us, and you, for exercise, fresh air, and love.
Anyone interested in helping walk dogs can stop at the AWL, located at 1048 S. 325E, Pierceton, during volunteer hours from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
