Ella (Troyer) Kuhns, 91, Unity, Maine, a native of Nappanee, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at home.

She was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Nappanee. On May 17, 1956, she married Jonas L. Kuhns, who preceded her in death in 2011.

She is survived by nine children, Alma (Jerry) Helmuth, Nappanee, Velma (Milo) Hilty, Smyrna Mills, Maine, Esther (Ervin) Hochstetler, Unity, Maine, Rosie (Caleb) Stoll, Unity, Maine, Elsie (Jonathan) Miller, Unity, Maine, Henry Kuhns, Bremen, Daniel (Laurie) Kuhns, Bremen, Melvin (Emma) Kuhns, Nappanee, and Wilbur (Leanna) Kuhns, Bremen; 57 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; three foster great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillie (Warren Fussner), Ohio; and brother, John (Mahala) Troyer, Nappanee.
