WARSAW — A total of 36 new electric vehicle charging stations are set to be installed in locations across Indiana, including several in the northern part of the state, as part of the Go Electric Vehicle Indiana initiative.
The new stations will be located along key travel routes, including in Warsaw, South Bend, Fort Wayne and Plymouth. Additional locations will be placed throughout the state.
According to Drive Clean Indiana, the new sites are intended to provide drivers with convenient access to EV charging while offering opportunities for short breaks during travel.
The stations will include two types of chargers, with different charging speed. Faster chargers will be put near heavily traveled areas, such as interstate roadways.
The projects are anticipated to begin construction this fall and be completed by the end of 2026. A comprehensive list of awardees is available here. For more information about the GOEVIN program, please visit https://goevin.com.
