UPDATE: Two injured in single-vehicle crash on CR 300W

LEESBURG — Elisa M. Moralas-Pico, 36, East Berry Street, Fort Wayne, was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital after complaining of pain to her head following a one-vehicle crash on CR 300W, south of CR 700N, Leesburg, Wednesday, Aug. 6. The crash occurred at 1:48 p.m.
A passenger in her vehicle, Juan C. Moralas-Pico, 18, East Berry Street, Fort Wayne, complained of pain to the back and was transported by ambulance to a Warsaw hospital.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Elisa Moralas-Pico was northbound on CR 300W, in the area of CR 700N, when she lost control of her 2011 Nissan Versa on the gravel road. The vehicle slid sideways hitting a NIPSCO pole before coming to a stop facing south along the western edge of the roadway.
The crash was investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office. Lutheran Air, Plain Township and Atwood fire departments responded to the scene.
Damage was estimated up to $50,000.
