Allegiant Adds Nonstop Flight Between Fort Wayne, Fort Lauderdale

Fort Wayne International Airport will begin non-stop service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport beginning on Thursday, November 20. The route will operate seasonally.

FORT WAYNE — Allegiant Travel Co. have announced a new non-stop flight between Fort Wayne International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The airline said in a press release that the flights would start on Thursday, November 20. The route will operate seasonally.
The route was one of seven new non-stop routes to 12 cities Allegiant was adding across the country.
“We are thrilled to welcome new non-stop service from Fort Wayne International Airport to Fort Lauderdale with Allegiant Air.” Said Scott Hinderman, executive director of airports. “This is an exciting addition to our continued partnership with Allegiant, and will give our passengers another great low-cost, non-stop destination to enjoy in Florida.”
Allegiant will offer one-way fares for these new routes starting at $49 for a limited period of time.
One-way fares between Fort Wayne and Fort Lauderdale start at $59, but seats and dates are limited. Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, Feb. 10.
Other routes and destinations include:
- Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla., and Toledo, Ohio
- New Orleans and Punta Gorda, Fla.
- Nashville, Tenn., and Gulf Shores, Ala.
- Fort Myers, Fla., and Allentown, Penn., Appleton, Wis. and Des Moines, Iowa.
Fort Wayne International Airport recorded a record number of 856,803 passengers in 2024. In May, authorities said the airport was on track for a record number of passengers for the third consecutive year, an increase of 18% from the previous year at the time.
Other airlines, including United and Delta, have also added or extended flights from Fort Wayne International Airport.
