Syracuse Woman Arrested For Allegedly Using Fork To Batter Man

SYRACUSE — A Syracuse woman was arrested for allegedly using a fork to attack a man.
Tessla Anne Stephen, 29, 9910 N. Fourth of July Ave., Syracuse, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On July 16, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a fight at a residence. A man said Stephen stabbed him twice with a fork.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy spoke with the man, who said he confronted Stephen about drinking alcohol with prescribed medication.
According to court documents, the man said Stephen then attacked him with a fork. The deputy noticed the man had a swollen right eye, a red abrasion on his neck, multiple small cuts across his body, and a cut on his left palm.
Stephen said the man confronted her while she was eating and grabbed her shoulders. She told police she acted in self-defense. The deputy noticed Stephen had a scratch on her left thumb, a small scratch under her left eye, and a small cut on her right knuckle.
Stephen was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on July 16.
