WARSAW — An Akron man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman in Warsaw.
Jose Arroyo, 48, 320 W. Walnut St., Akron, is charged with domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and domestic battery with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
On July 13, Warsaw Police officers responded to a domestic complaint at a local business. A witness said he saw Arroyo arguing with a woman inside a vehicle.
According to court documents, Arroyo punched the woman multiple times with a closed fist. The woman told police she and Arroyo argued, with the incident escalating when Arroyo punched her in the face multiple times.
Officers noticed a scratch on the woman’s eye and multiple scratches on her arm. The woman indicated she felt dizzy after being punched.
