Sonja R. Lett

Sonya Lett
Sonja Reyna (Remfrey) Lett, of Bourbon, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the care of Mason Health and Rehab in Warsaw, at the age of 59. A courageous, strong, beautiful soul, with a kind heart, she made a big impact on this world.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1966, in Warsaw, to Katherine Juanita (Blankenship) Remfrey and Samual Arnold Remfrey. Sonja was a 1984 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School and later attended Ivy Tech, graduating with an associate degree. She worked as a lab technician at Southwire in Bremen for a number of years.
On July 5, 2011, she married Jeffrey Lett. They had just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary at the time of her passing. Sonja was fiercely loyal and loving to her friends and family. She loved spending time with her husband and grandkids, playing cornhole with her best friends and reminiscing on the good old days with her sister. If she wasn’t at the casino with Jeff, she could likely be found cheering on college softball at home with her dogs.
Sonja made friends everywhere she went, most notably during her time at Flexsteel, where she forged lifelong friendships that became like family to her. There wasn’t much she loved more than laughing with her loved ones over a meal. She found the joy and humor in everything she could, from practical jokes to haunted houses to silly movies. Her friends and family can take solace in knowing that she is at peace; her pain is theirs now.
She was dearly loved and will be forever missed by her husband, Jeff Lett, Bourbon; son, Micheal Lett, Bourbon; daughter, Kaci (Cody) Scheve, Warsaw; and two grandchildren, Nora and Mason Scheve. Also surviving is her sister, Regina (Jerry) Wadkins, Kimmel. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends and family are invited to visit and share memories from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, July 25, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. She will be laid to rest at a late date at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
Online condolences may be sent through the funeral home’s website at redpathfruthfuneralhome.com.
