Indiana Track and Field Squad Performs Well On National Stage

EUGENE Ore. — A high school relay team from Indiana had quite the showing at the Nike Outdoor Nationals. The competition was held on Sunday, June 22, and a decorated relay team from Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana made the trip to the West Coast.
The relay team consisted of Anissa Lammie, Addison Smith, Chloe Senefeld and Ciara Kepner. The Royals won the national title for the 1600 sprint medley relay followed by a runner-up performance in the 1600 medley relay.
The really team had previously won the 1600 event in 2024 Nike Indoor Nationals.
Lammie and Senefeld took part in the mixed 1600 relay and captured first.
Back on Saturday, June 7, Lammie, Senefeld, Kepner and Smith won the Indiana state championship in the 1600 relay with a time of 3:46.26. The Hamilton Southeastern squad was a full, two seconds ahead of the second-place team from Carmel High School.
