WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after allegedly battering a man and two children.
Kimberly Lynn France, 45, 432 S. Washington St., Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and three counts of domestic battery, all class A misdemeanors.
On June 29, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a domestic incident. A caller reported a man was pounding on a door at a residence. Upon arrival, the officer saw the man, who had a fresh laceration to his right eyebrow.
According to court documents, the man said he and France argued at a local business before going to a residence. The man left the home and came back to retrieve tools, but France refused to let him back into the residence. He told police he was unsure how he sustained the injury to his eye.
Three children at the residence said France told them not to let the man into the home. They said the man sustained the laceration after France yelled and kicked a screen door.
After this incident, two of the children were battered by France after they tried getting her to give the man tools. France slapped one of the children, pushing them into a countertop area and hitting their back. The second child was shoved into a non-working sink.
The third child told police France was yelling at everyone and battered the other two children.
France said she didn’t know how the man sustained the injury above his eye.
France has already been arrested and released on bond.
