Warsaw Man Arrested For Allegedly Battering Woman

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman.
Aaron Lee Edward Brown, 23, 602 W. Winona Ave. Apartment 2, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child and domestic battery with a prior conviction, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On June 16, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a 911 hangup at a residence. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with Brown, who said he argued with a woman and “should be arrested.”
According to court documents, Brown said he pushed the woman out of his way and that the woman punched him in the face. Brown then allegedly threw an ash tray at the woman, hitting her shoulder. The officer noticed a small cut above Brown’s left elbow.
A child was present during the altercation.
The woman said Brown pushed her from behind and that she punched him in order to get him off her. She told police Brown threw the ash tray at her and bit her shoulder.
The officer noticed injuries to the woman’s left shoulder and forearm.
Brown was previously convicted of domestic battery in Kosciusko County in December 2022.
Brown was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 16.
