ROCHESTER — Two people from Rochester were arrested for allegedly having sex with a child.
Nicole Lin Boardman, 31; and Zachariah Dean Cook, 33, both of 342 E. 4th St., Rochester, are each charged with sexual misconduct with a minor and child solicitation, both level 5 felonies.
In May, a Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputy spoke with a Department of Child Services representative about a sexual incident. A person disclosed they had sex and sexual encounters with Boardman and Cook when they were a child. The person was interviewed by law enforcement on May 27.
According to court documents, in the interview, the person said they had sex with Cook when they were a child. They also said Boardman bought them a sex toy and that Cook, over time, convinced Boardman to have sex with them.
The person alleged Boardman was initially against them and Cook having sex, describing Cook as “very pushy” to get Boardman to eventually have sex with them and Cook at the same time.
In an interview on May 28, Boardman described her and Cook’s relationship with the victim as “motherly” and “fatherly figures.” She said they were trying to be a stable safe place for the victim due to prior abuse.
When asked about sexual encounters with the victim, Boardman admitted to giving them a sex toy but that no sexual acts occurred with her, the child, or Cook together. She also said Cook and the victim did not have sex together.
Both Cook and Boardman told police the victim made up stories about people having sex with them. Cook also said he and the victim never had sex.
Boardman and Cook were both booked in the Fulton County Jail on June 12.
