News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library unveiled a vibrant new look for the back privacy fence, thanks to the creativity of local teens and the generosity of community partners. This winter, NWCPL partnered with the Syracuse Public Library to host a teen art contest that invited young artists to dream big and design murals to enhance the library’s outdoor space. After a round of enthusiastic community voting, the winning designs were selected and now those visions are coming to life.
Each of the four sides of the fence will be featuring a unique mural, painted by the teen artists themselves, transforming the once plain structure into a colorful celebration of youth creativity and community spirit. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the library to admire the incredible artwork and support the talented teens who made it possible.
The library extends a heartfelt thanks to Matthews Paint Company, whose team donated its time, effort and supplies to power wash, sand, repair and prime the fence in preparation for painting. NWCPL also gives special thanks to Maumee Paint and Supplies for generously donating all the colorful paint used to turn the teens’ ideas into bold, beautiful reality.
