GOSHEN — The Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board announces Monica Gould as the incoming vice-president of the county’s 4-H Fair Board.
Gould has been a dedicated member of the board for 24 years, including five years on the executive board. Her involvement with the fair began as a summer intern under her grandfather, 1980 Fair Board President Herb Maust, and has continued across generations.
She and her husband, Scott, have two sons — Graham, 10 and Nolan, 9 — who are active in the archery club and have grown up pitching in at the fair, from setting up chairs to testing silent disco headphones (often in exchange for mini donuts).
The Gould family enjoys classic fair traditions like grandstand concerts after dark, the draft horse barn, and the kids’ fun run, along with their go-to treats: mini donuts, peach cobbler, and the dairy bar.
Gould’s long-standing commitment and deep fair roots make her a valued leader as the fair continues to grow and evolve.
