Man Arrested For Child Solicitation In Marshall County
Staff Report

Larry Edward Charlton
PLYMOUTH — A man was arrested after an organization working to expose child predators caught him attempting to meet with who he believed was an underage individual for sex.
Larry Edward Charlton, 42, Walkerton, is charged with child solicitation, a level 4 felony.
On May 6, Plymouth Police officers responded to a report of a man attempting to meet with a child. Officers spoke with a representative of the Big Country Predator Exposure group.
According to court documents, the individual said he created a fake profile on a social networking app that Charlton messaged first. During their conversations, Charlton sent an inappropriate picture of himself. When the individual told Charlton they were underage, Charlton continued having sexual conversations with them and made plans to meet with them for sex.
Upon searching Charlton’s person, officers found condoms in his pants pocket. Charlton alleged he did not show up to the location to have sex with the individual. He said he was there to talk with them about being on social media.
Charlton was booked in the Marshall County Jail on June 1.
