Maybe Close Skate Park Instead Of Moving It
Dear Editor,
So, once again large tax dollars going to move a non-used skate park — a/k/a a thing of the past — across town. What and why? When is the last time that skate park was even open? Is it even open?
I’ll move all those ramps across town with a fork truck and trailer and a winch for 50 grand. Seriously. That’s 90 percent off what they are granting our tax money away to do. Why not give me this contract and not a company owned by a family member on the board (as it normally goes)?
Why not just close the skate park and save a half million? Or fix the railroad crossings? Or maybe buy a half million in groceries and feed these homeless who aren’t really starving. It’s really disgusting the interest of local government is based on making friends and family rich and not supporting our people. How many busted shocks could be avoided by using this money for the railroad crossings?
But, hey what do I know? I’m just a tax-paying blue collar guy who can’t ride his bike over the tracks in town. “DOGE” this deal here.
