GOSHEN — The Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board has announced Jeryl and Pat Hochstedler have been selected as the 2025 parade marshals.
Chosen by 2025 Fair Board President Randi Yoder, this honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated long-standing commitment, support, and service to the fair and the broader community.
Both Jeryl and Pat are Elkhart County 4-H alumni, each completing ten years in the program. Their dedication to youth and community development has continued ever since.
Jeryl Hochstedler has served on the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board for 28 years and held the role of Board President in 2005. During the fair, he leads the Happy Helpers volunteer team and is known not only for his leadership, but also for his signature good-natured laugh that brings joy to those around him.
Pat Hochstedler’s connection to the fair runs deep. Her father served as Fair Board President in 1983, and she has continued the family legacy of involvement through her work with photography and fair association contests. Pat remains an invaluable behind-the-scenes contributor to fair operations.
“Jeryl and Pat exemplify the heart of our fair—generosity, dedication, and community spirit,” said Fair Board President Randi Yoder. “They’ve supported me personally and professionally, and I’m honored to recognize them in this way.”
The Elkhart County 4-H Fair Parade will take place during fair week in July 2025. The public is invited to attend and help celebrate Jeryl and Pat Hochstedler’s remarkable contributions.
