Lakeland Art Association Calls Artists to Join Sip N Shop

WARSAW — Mainstreet Warsaw, the downtown store owners and the Lakeland Art Association will host Sip N Shop, a cultural event in downtown Warsaw.
From 5-7 p.m. on the following Fridays: July 25, Aug. 22, Sept. 12 and Oct. 3, visitors will be able to stroll through the streets of downtown Warsaw while enjoying complimentary wine and light refreshments served at local retail shops with art vendors and musicians lining the sidewalks. A QR code will be available for visitors to scan for a $50 gift certificate to be spent at any of the participating stores.
Lakeland Art Association is calling artists to fill booth spaces for this event. There are 15 10-foot by 10-foot spaces available for artists to set up and sell or demonstrate their work. There is no cost for the space if you are a paid member of Lakeland Art Association. Non-members will be asked to pay $50 per event for the booth space. Electricity will not be provided.
To enter, submit a signed application and payment along with three photos of your artwork and one of the display booth to Lakeland Art Association, P.O. Box 53, Warsaw, or email [email protected]. Phone Melodie at (574) 457-6085 with any questions.
Application and payment are due by Friday, July 11, with a $10 fee for late application submissions. Booth fees will be returned in full if cancellation is made by Wednesday, July 18 and 50% of booth fees will be returned if cancellation is made after that date.
Each artist is encouraged to have insurance by Mainstreet Warsaw, the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, the Lakeland Art Association, the town of Warsaw, its officers, employees, agents and subsidiaries as they will not be held responsible for damages or injuries as a result of an artist’s participation in the Sip N Shop events.
Rules for vendors are as follows:
- Products purchased for resale, mass produced products, party plan merchandise and commercially made products that are merely embellished are not allowed.
- Products for sale must be handmade by the artist.
- Acceptance is at the sole discretion of the LAA jury committee.
- The artist is responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax when applicable.
- The artist is responsible for setting up for the event and cleaning up their own area after the event.
- Checks for booth rental will not be cashed until an artist is accepted for the event.
- Non-sufficient funds checks to Lakeland Art Association will incur a $35 service charge.
- There is no sharing of booths by multiple artists unless they produce the products as a team or are a 501c3 cooperative.
- Only Blue Painters tape will be allowed on sidewalks or store fronts.
- Nothing will be fastened to store fronts or buildings by the artists without prior consent of the store owner.
